I met dearest Katherine after my mother passed in 2006. We both attended daily mass. Something about her profile reminded me so much of my own dear mother. The sight of her was a comfort to me. She often gave me hugs when I needed them the most. Barbara, Katherine, and I shared so many quiet conversations and Salve Regina's after morning rosary.
I would occasionally drop over for a visit when I was on a dump run. I saw her at Barbara's funeral and she did not recognize me. Months later I received a call from her.
She told me I was on her mind, but she couldn't think from where.
When she healed more from her own illness she remembered and called me. She was so kind. I was able to visit one time after that. Years have passed and I am in New Hampshire. I thought about dearest Katherne last month when I went to the Stafford dump, wondering how she was. I am so thankful that I received word of her passing. Sorry I could not attend her funeral. Rest in peace dearest Katherine. You are in my prayers!
