Kathleen M. Phelps, 70, of Staffordville, CT, passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. She was born in Stafford Springs, CT, daughter of the late Clyde and Ann (Petz) Phelps. Kathy was a graduate of Read Obituary
Kathleen was my sister's (Gretchen) best friend when our family lived in Staffordville, 1947-51. Our parents became friendly with Kathleen's parents. In recent years, Gretchen (Tolland) and Kathleen got reacquainted, and about a half dozen years ago, the three of us got together for dinner. It's easy to see how she will be missed.

Please accept our deepest sympathy at Kathy's passing. Stafford High School is where we met Kathy, through our mutual friend, Betty Sartori.
Kathy has accompanied us a couple of times for our annual mini-SHS-reunions to southern beaches. She has always had a wonderful sense of humor and an upbeat personality, which made her ready to join in on any planned activity.
We will all miss her very much.
Miss you Kack, we will be sure to carry on the Easter egg hunt tradition and many other wonderful memories you have given us. You will be greatly missed.
I shared the burden of Sunday catechism class in the chapel in Staffordville with Kathy when we were young. Other good times were the rides on the bus to and from high school once we were older. There were also shared memories of volleyball and library club as well. I'm coming to realize that one of the real disadvantages of getting old is losing the witnesses of shared experiences. I enjoyed seeing her in recent years whenever I was able to get to one of "the '59er girls" dinners when I was in Stafford.
I want to express my sincerest sympathy to her family.

We are saddened by Kathy's passing. Our prayers and condolences go out to her family. Memories of growing up in Staffordville with Kathy will always be fond memories. Her friendliness and ready smile are not forgotten.
I'll never Kathleen when lived in Manchester. She was a great teacher who I loved very much. she will be gone but not forgotten. R.I.P.
I'm truly saddened by Kathleen's passing. I've known her and the entire family for all of my life and am so very sorry. My sincere condolences to Diane and Valerie and to your families. Your sister Kathy was a good friend to all who knew her. I'll especially miss her warm smile and familiar demeanor.
