Keiko Thon's Obituary
Keiko (Imamura) Thon, 81, passed away in her beloved home in Stafford Springs, CT on January 9, 2025 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She is predeceased by her husband, Harold Marvin Thon, and leaves behind her children Michael, Brooks and Heather as well as 6 adored and cherished grandchildren.
Born in 1943 to Nobuo and Takeyo Imamura, she grew up with two brothers, Masanobu and Hiroshi, in the countryside of Japan before moving to Tokyo to pursue her love of music. As an accomplished pianist she inspired others with her musicality and most impactfully with her patience and dedication as a teacher.
While Keiko will be missed dearly, her kind, generous and loving spirit will live on in the hearts of family, friends and students around the world. A celebration in her honor will be held with details to come. To leave a message of sympathy for her family, please visit: www.introvignefuneralhome.com
