Lawrence Lucia's Obituary
Lawrence L. Lucia, 77, of Orcuttville Rd., Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2007 at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Stafford Springs, CT. He was born in Springfield, MA, son of the late Annibale and Fenica (Gallo) Lucia. Larry was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. He retired from United Technology as a supervisor. Larry was a member of St. Edward Parish, past president of the Stafford Lions Club, past treasurer and commissioner of the West Stafford Fire Department, honorary life member of the Italian Benefit Society, and a promoter of the Miraculous Metals. Larry is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Lucille A. Lucia; a son, David L. Lucia and his wife Mary; three grandchildren, Amy, Meagan, and Michael, all of Stafford Springs, CT; a brother, Frank Lucia and his wife Grace of Deleware; a sister, Frances Pijar of Florida; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Judy Ambrosi of Stafford Springs, CT; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister, Gloria Lucia; and two brothers, Anthony and Fred Lucia. A funeral will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2007 with a procession forming at 9 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. at St. Edward Church, High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Tuesday from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
