Leatrice S. Thomson's Obituary
Leatrice (Sabourin) Thomson, 89, of Manchester, CT, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 18, 2015 in Manchester, CT. She was born a daughter to the late Alvarado J. and Agnes (Pobuda) Sabourin. Lee is survived by her three children, Frances B. Cole of Stafford Springs, CT, Leslie B. Adams of West Hartford, CT, and John C. Bosco and his wife Bethia of Coventry, CT; four grandchildren, Kathy Adams, Richard Adams and his wife Jenna, Benjamin Bosco and his wife Heidi, and Daniel Bosco and his fiancé Valerie; and four great grandchildren, Brooke, Danielle, Jon, and Braden. She was predeceased by the love of her life, Thomas Keough, and survived by his children, Nancy Keough, Colleen Eberhardt, and Thomas Keough Jr. She was also predeceased by her brother, Richard “Dicky” Sabourin. Lee was born on December 6, 1925 in Stafford Springs, CT, and attended Saint Edward School. Prior to her retirement, Lee worked at Mobil Oil Corporation as an Engineering Analyst. Her love of sunshine and the ocean inspired her to move to Nokomis, FL upon her retirement in 1990, where she spent the best 20 years of her life with her “Tommy”. She was an active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Venice, FL and became a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Manchester, CT upon her return to Connecticut in 2011. From Pennsylvania to Florida and back to Connecticut, Mom left a trail of friendships that endured until her passing. She loved her family and had a special individual love and affection for each one of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lee loved Scrabble and all types of word games and would happily take on every challenger. She was an avid reader and her day was not complete until she finished the daily crossword puzzle and Word Jumble from the local paper. Lee volunteered for many organizations including her church, Fairwinds Condo Association, and always helped her many neighbors and friends. She will be greatly missed by all. The family would like to extend special thanks to Kay Goldwire for her kind and loving care she provided Mom during her last several months of life. A calling hour will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 from 10:00-11:00 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, with a funeral service immediately following at 11:00 A.M.
