Lee Goodell's Obituary
Lee Forrest Goodell, 81, of Willington, CT, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at Windham Hospital, Windham, CT. He was born in Stafford Springs, CT, son of the late DeForrest and Rosalyn (Golding) Goodell. Lee proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict as a Machinist's Mate Second Class on the USS Hollis, and enjoyed his annual reunions with his ship mates. He retired from the Mansfield State Training School as a patient care specialist, and enjoyed HAM Radio as a hobby. Lee is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Nancy (Stross) Goodell; four daughters, Cindy Holland and her husband Dane, Kim Hannum and her husband John, Robin Salisbury and her husband Alan, and Tracy Goodell-Pelletier and her husband Paul; five grandchildren, Julie and Thomas Hannum, Troy Holland, and Evan and Emily Salisbury; a sister, Lila Waite; and several nieces and nephews. A calling hour will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2011 from 10-11 A.M. with a funeral service to take place at 11 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in Willington Hill Cemetery, Willington, CT.
