Lee Tiziani's Obituary
Lee F. Tiziani, 49, died suddenly Friday evening February 10, 2012 in the arms of his life partner at their home in Wilmington, Vermont. Lee embraced life to the fullest and had a deep respect for friends and family. Lee leaves his partner Sarah Bourn; his mother Pat (Argenta) Tiziani of Stafford Springs, CT; his brother and sister-in-law Glen and Carol Tiziani of Colchester, CT; beloved nephews Matthew and Nicholas; and Sarah's daughter Amanda Lineweber of Washington, DC. Lee graduated from UConn in 1986 with a degree in Finance. He worked in financial services for 25 years, including 15 years at Peoples Bank where as AVP he managed branches in Hartford and Vernon. Lee also traveled internationally as a deposit consultant for Open Solutions in Glastonbury. Most recently, he combined his interests to help construct the new Bluebird Express chairlift at Mount Snow. As an Uncle, Lee cherished Matt and Nick's achievements in school and sports. He enjoyed playing pickup games with them, and was so proud of the fine young men they are growing up to be. Lee was an avid motorcyclist, loved riding his FZ1 on New England back roads and was a fan of motorcycle racing. Lee was a motorcycle safety instructor for Connecticut DOT for 18 years. Lee loved the outdoors, and photographing nature. He had a passion for spending time with friends hiking, skiing and kayaking. Lee achieved his goal of summiting the highest peaks in each of the New England states. Lee loved traveling, and had toured the Italian Alps on a motorcycle. He skied throughout the US and Canada. Lee was a runner who completed the 2000 Hartford Marathon, and immediately followed it with a mountain biking trip to Utah. He loved reading biographies and history and enjoyed playing his drums and listening to blues music. With the help of many friends, Lee finished building his dream home on Haystack Mountain in 2008 where he and Sarah have been living since. Lee will be missed at home by the wild birds he loved to feed and by his cat Sashi. He leaves an empty place by the campfire on his deck where he will always be remembered. His funeral service will be held on Friday, February 17, 2012 at 11 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Thursday from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
