My mother Dorothy Saunders, a Schold neighbor, loved all the Schold children. We had a fabulous life back then. My memories of Auburn were of him walking everywhere he went. He was, I think, living in a small cabin up Leonard Rd. My mother loved his name Auburn and often said what a "free spirit" he was. He was always kind, gentle and handsome as ever. I was so sad to learn of his passing at such a young age. My condolences go out to his family and friends. What a wonderful obituary about his life and a beautiful guide on how to live, enjoy life and to not worry about material things but to realize all the wonderous gifts we have in our own back yard. Thank you for that! I will pass on many selfless deeds as he did and will think of him and our carefree lives back in the "Hollow" often. Please say hello to the family from all of the Saunders family.
