Leon J. "Spike" Cooley's Obituary
Leon J. “Spike” Cooley, 70 of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2014. He was born in Middletown, CT, son of the late Joseph and Mariett (Marshall) Cooley. Spike worked as a meat cutter for many years, most recently at Bogners, and was a corvette enthusiast. Spike is survived by his four children, Steven, Heidi, Christina, and Justin Cooley; sister, June Schlaefer; nephew, Richard Schlaefer; and his cat, Rocko. The family would like to thank Spike’s good friend Billy Bachiochi for all his help and support. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 1 P.M. at Staffordville Cemetery, Staffordville, CT.
