Leonard Boudreau's Obituary
Leonard E. Boudreau, 83, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2011 at Kimberly Hall, Windsor, CT. He was born in Stafford Springs, CT, son of the late Amede and Annabelle (Gautreau) Boudreau. Lenny was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving with Company “E” 169th Infantry Regiment 43rd Infantry Division as part of the occupational force in Europe. He was a truck driver for most of his life and retired from Carris Manufacturing (formerly Bridge Manufacturing). He was a member of St. Edward’s Parish, Rev. Felix J. O’Neil Council #1395 Knight of Columbus and Strazza, Tonoli-Emhoff Post No. 26 American Legion. He was a member of the Stafford Fire Department Station No. 47 for over 50 years and served in many posts including chief. He was a member of the Italian Benefit Society and Stafford Senior Center. He also volunteered for Food Share. Lenny was a bowling enthusiast. He loved hunting and fly-fishing and was a lifetime member of the Stafford Fish and Game. Lenny is survived by his loving wife, Verna (Wilcox) Boudreau; four children, Terry Boudreau and his wife Judy, Tracy Robinson, Toby Boudreau and his wife Schelly, and Jeremy Boudreau; five grandchildren, Kyle, Derek, and Chelsey Boudreau, Nicole Smith, and Jenna Boudreau; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three siblings, Jack Boudreau, Irene Boudreau, and Shirley Burns. His funeral will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2011, with a procession forming by 10 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. at St. Edward Church, 55 High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Wednesday from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
