Lida G. Miller's Obituary
Lida Graciela Miller, born on November 16, 1945, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, passed away peacefully at home on March 26, 2025, after facing several illnesses in recent years. She was predeceased by her parents, Jorge and Lida Wenzel of Ashland, OH, beloved husband of 55 years, John Miller, and her daughter, Johanna Miller. She is survived by her daughter, Lida Carroll, and her husband, Edward Carroll; her cherished grandchildren, Lida Rose and Maxwell Carroll; her sister, Eloise Wenzel; her brother, George Wenzel; and many dear friends. Lida made Stafford her home in 1980 and quickly became an integral part of the community. She was deeply involved in local activities, believing strongly in giving back. She played a key role in establishing the town’s first Summerfest Celebrations, supported the library, and was an active member of the Junior Women’s Club and the Republican Town Committee. Many will fondly remember Lida as the dedicated church organist for St. Edward the Confessor Church. Music was her passion, and for over 30 years, she played for countless Masses, funerals, and weddings, bringing comfort and joy to many through her talent. Above all else, Lida’s greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren. She retired to spend more time with them, creating countless cherished memories—from going on vacations to Friday lunches at Chelle’s Diner and ensuring they had a piano in front of them before they could even sit up. Her warmth and dedication will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her funeral will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025, with a procession forming by 10:00 AM at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. Edward Church, 55 High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, will be private. Calling hours will be on Thursday, April 3, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
