Lillian M. Barber's Obituary
Lillian M. Barber, 87, of Stafford Springs, CT passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was born in Worcester, MA, daughter of the late Ernest and Eva (Gregoire) Marcille, Sr. Lillian spent her career working as a nurse at Johnson Memorial Hospital for over 40 years. She was also a volunteer nurse for the Stafford Crusaders. She loved camping at Sunsetview Farm Camping Area in Monson, MA and taking camping trips with her family. She also enjoyed going to the casino with her best friend Lyn Swiatek and her husband Frank. She enjoyed watching NASCAR races, and especially her favorite driver Kevin Harvick. Lillian is survived by her five children, Robert Barber and his wife Lauire, Richard Barber and his wife Isabelle, Dianne Dudek and her husband Dr. Robert, Denise Combs and her husband Richard, and Debra Ponkala and her husband Erick; eleven grandchildren, Richie, Michael, Rachel, Megan, Brittany, triplets Ethan, Isaac and Noah, Simon, Nicole and Dylan; six great grandchildren; brother, Ernest Marcille, Jr.; and many nieces and nephews. A calling hour will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M., with a funeral service beginning at 10:00 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow the service at St. Anne Cemetery, Sturbridge, MA. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6001.
