Lillian Gilman's Obituary
Lillian R. Gilman, 96, of Kenwood Dr., Vernon, CT, died Monday, April 17, 2006 at Fox Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Vernon, CT. She was the widow of the late Edward T. Gilman. Lillian was born in Stafford Springs, CT, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Jane (Woods) Desloge. She retired from Manchester Memorial Hospital as a housekeeper. She was a member of St. Edward Parish, Sacred Heart Church, and the Catholic Daughters of America. Lillian is survived by five daughters and four sons-in-law, Eleanor M. and Russell Mattesen of Windsor Locks, CT, Mary Jane and Robert Upton of Northport, FL, Carol M. and James Covell of Vernon, CT, Patricia J. Gilman of Vernon, CT, and Laura L. and Gary Ott of Stafford Springs, CT; 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Florence Desloge of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Elizabeth A. Burrell; five brothers; and a sister. A funeral will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2006, with a procession forming at 9 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. at St. Edward Church, High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours will be held on Friday, from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
