Lincoln E. Parker's Obituary
Lincoln E. Parker, 84, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Evergreen Health Care Center. He was born in Holden, MA, son of the late Harold and Helen (Johnson) Parker. Lincoln served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He stayed busy his whole life. He was self employed as a dairy farmer in Brookfield, MA at Maple Crest Dairy. Lincoln worked for the Stafford Conservatories, Growers Direct in Somers, drove the Stafford town bus, made bagels at the former Better Bagels, and delivered the Hartford Courant, even during the blizzard of 1978. He was also a former Cub Master of the Cub Scouts Pack 48 in Stafford, he was the former Deacon and President of the Stafford Baptist Church, and he volunteered for the Stafford Crusaders. Lincoln is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Beverly (Ramsay) Parker; three children, Ruth Thomas, Joy Erickson and her husband Robert, and Edward Parker and his wife Dorraine; five grandchildren, Allison and her husband Alex, Thomas and his wife Sarah, Liam, Kyle and his wife Angelique, and Peter; four great grandchildren, Orion, Aroussia, Christian and Matthew, with baby Lincoln on the way; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son-in-law, Richard Thomas; and three siblings, Virginia Romkey, Raymond Parker, and Hazel Parsons. Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 2, 2018 from 5-7 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. His funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 10 A.M. at the Stafford Baptist Church, 12 Leonard Rd., Stafford Springs, CT.
