Linda J. Bennett's Obituary
Linda J. Bennett, 82, of Willington, CT, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at
Mansfield Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born in Hartford, CT, daughter of
the late George and Virginia (Maynard) Bennett. She was predeceased by her partner of
almost 20 years, Richard “Rick” Hamer. Linda is survived by her children, John Chipman and
his wife Lisa, and Julie Parker and her partner Tony Macari; grandchildren, Caroline
Chipman, Taylor Sundin and her husband Carl, Shane Parker and his fiancé Madysen Bowser, and Brayden Parker; great grandchildren, Jason and Hailey Sundin, Shane and Sara Dirgo, and Grayson Parker; sister, Lois Lesizza; and several nieces and nephews. Linda loved her family and her many friends, and was loved by everyone. She always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. She was an amazing singer and loved to dance. She and her sister Lois were back-up singers for Gene Pitney, who started out as the Rockville Rockets. She enjoyed going to Bingo and playing the Penny slots at the casino. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at Grove Hill Cemetery, 22 Cemetery Ave., Rockville, CT.
