Linda M. Fontanella's Obituary
Linda (Muzio) Fontanella, 93, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on April 22, 2014. She was born in Staffordville, CT, daughter of the late Allesandro and Angela (Lazzaris) Muzio. She was married to Ateo Fontanella, also of Stafford Springs. Linda retired from Pratt and Whitney Aircraft where she worked as an Administrator. She was a member of St. Edward Parish, the Stafford Grange No. 1, Stafford Senior Center and was active in the Stafford Democratic Town Committee. She also enjoyed traveling, especially to visit her grandchildren. Linda lived her entire life in Stafford Springs until moving to Our Lady of Hope Assisted Living in 2011. Linda is survived by her three daughters, Faye Scussell and husband Douglas of Stafford Springs, CT, Valerie Wesner and husband Richard of Buchanan, MI and Laurie Pouliot and husband David of Miramar Beach, FL; six grandchildren, Gina (Scussell) Mungovan, Audrey (Scussell) Temelini, Rick Wesner, Rebecca (Wesner) Judd, Jason and Wesley Pouliot; ten great grandchildren; five sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her seven siblings, Tony, Bruno, Aldo and Benjamin Muzio, Amy Amprimo, Mary Chamberlain and Janet Netto. Her funeral will be held on Friday, May 2, 2014, with a procession forming by 9 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. at St. Edward Church, High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in Staffordville Cemetery. Calling hours are on Thursday from 6-8 P.M at the funeral home.
