Llewellyn "Lew" V. Nelson's Obituary
Llewellyn “Lew” V. Nelson, 83, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2018. He was born in Camden, ME, son of the late Delmont and Arlene (Heyes) Nelson. Lew served our country in the United States Army, and retired as a truck driver having worked for Thomas Industries and Moser Farms. Lew loved to work. He was also a longtime coach for Stafford Little League, enjoyed playing guitar, restoring cars, and riding his Harley. Lew is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Anne (Jensen) Nelson; three children, LouAnn Rose and her husband Kevin, Vaughn Nelson and his girlfriend Tammy Mears, and Shane Nelson and his wife Paula; six grandchildren, Kevin Rose, Jr. and his wife Rachel, Matthew Rose and his fiancée Amanda Elcock, Justin Nelson and his wife Nicole, Danielle Caldwell and her husband Kyle, and Gavin and Logan Nelson; four great grandchildren, Gabriel, Devin, Landon, and Ava; brother, Jack Nelson; sister, Hazel Bostwick; several nieces and nephews; and his good friends, David Walsh and Tony Hurd. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 1-3 P.M. with a memorial service and Military Honors to take place at 3 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT.
