Lois P. Gilbert's Obituary
Lois P. Gilbert, 86, of Palm Harbor, Florida, passed away March 4, 2022, after a brief illness. Lois was a forever fan of Englebert Humperdinck, frequent guest of The Olive Garden, The Outback (Loisisms), her vanilla McDonald's milkshakes and the originator of the Pellizari sweet tooth. She was born April 3, 1935 in Stafford Springs, daughter of the late Renato and Jennie Pellizari of Stafford Springs. After 22 years of being snowbirds, Lois and Norman became full time residents of Palm Harbor in 2016 after spending a majority of their lifetime raising their family in Stafford Springs and vacationing in the Northeast. We have many fond memories of all the friends and family members still in that area. She is survived by sister and her husband, Linda and Wayne Hillebrecht of Stafford Springs; sister-in-law, Phyllis Concato of Woodstock; daughter, Beth Ann Gilbert and Joseph Boutin; son Jack Gilbert and Jane Soltys; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grand-children; nieces; a nephew; and many wonderful friends. Lois graduated from Stafford High School in Stafford Springs. She retired from Town of Stafford, Town Treasurer in 1995 after 21 years of service. Funeral services with burial in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT, are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. We raise a box of Russell Stover chocolates to you, Noni!
