Lottie R. Cercena's Obituary
Lottie R. Cercena, 94, of Stafford Springs, CT, wife of the late Rudolph L. Cercena, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Evergreen Health Care Center. She was born in Thorndike, MA, daughter of the late Kasmir and Josephine (Wolzak) Lech. Lottie had many friends growing up in Massachusetts. She always smiled and had something good to say. She was truly a wonderful person that everyone loved and admired. Lottie had a kind and caring way that always came through. She met the love of her life, Rudy, while working in Massachusetts after World War II. They were married and together until his death in 2006. Together they owned and operated a farm that was a stop for many people in Stafford. Lottie was a fantastic cook and good at anything she put her mind to. She made her weekly visits to Massachusetts to keep in touch with her family and held on to her strong religious beliefs. She will be missed by all who knew her, and is now at peace and together with all who passed before her. Lottie is survived by her daughter, Kathy Hine and her husband Nick; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Henry, Walter, and Joseph Lech; and sister, Helen Bernat. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 from 5-7 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 10 A.M. at St. Edward Church, 55 High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Memorial donations may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Rd., Newington, CT 06111.
