Louis Mattarelli's Obituary
Louis P. Mattarelli, 83, of Vernon, CT, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2011 at Fox Hill Nursing Home, Vernon, CT. He was born in Stafford Springs, CT, son of the late Artemio and Stephania (Martinelli) Mattarelli. Louis proudly served his country during World War II as a veteran of the U.S. Army, and retired from A.M.F. CUNO as a group leader. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 200 in Rocky Hill, honorary life member of the Stafford Springs Fire Department, and former member of Stafford Fire Department No. 1. Louis is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Beatrice (Pariseau) Mattarelli; six children, Louis P. Mattarelli, Jr., Gary Mattarelli, Cheryl Anderson and her husband David, Brenda Sadosky and her husband Edward, Denise Coughlin and her husband James, and Robin Chopus; nine grandchildren; four great grandsons; two brothers, Edmund and Mario Mattarelli; a sister, Anna Rosi; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Henry Mattarelli; and a sister, Ella Tarantino. His funeral will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2011, with a procession forming by 10 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. at St. Edward Church, High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Friday from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
