Louise Christensen's Obituary
Louise M. Christensen, 88, of Enfield, CT, passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2012 surrounded by her family and friends. She was born in Enfield, CT, daughter of the late Herbert and Katherine (Dubeck) Duke. Louise retired from the Town of Enfield as a cook. She was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Enfield Senior Center, Gold Wing Road Riders, and the Red Door Campers. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Louise is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, William R. Christensen; daughter, Carol Grant; three step daughters, Deborah Christensen, Linda Merrill and her husband Phil, and Marianne Christensen; four grandchildren, Wayne Moore and his fiancé Christine Hunt, Kimberly Pezanetti and her husband John, Lisa Lewis and her husband Keith, and Jamie Smith and her husband Jason; two step grandchildren, Shaun Meyer and his wife Betsy, and Jeremy Meyer and his wife Mary; several great grandchildren and step great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by two daughters, Alice Moore and Sandra Quirk; and a brother, Herbert Duke, Jr. Her funeral will be held on Monday, April 30, 2012, with a procession forming by 9:30 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Church Service at 11 A.M. at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 383 Hazard Ave., Enfield, CT. Burial will be held privately in Stafford Springs Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Sunday from 4-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
