Luana M. Benedetti's Obituary
Luana Mae (Steele) Benedetti, 101, of Boynton Beach, FL, and formerly Hamden, CT, beloved wife of the late Ernest Benedetti, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2018. They were married for 69 years. Luana was born in Stafford, CT, daughter of the late Harry Emerson Steele and Iva Mae Steele. Luana loved people and was active in the Methodist Church as a Sunday school teacher in Hamden, CT for many years. She enjoyed playing bridge, traveling, and belonged to numerous organizations. Luana is survived by her daughter, Elaine Steele Martin and her husband James of Anderson, SC; five grandchildren and their spouses, Darlene and Brian Bavaro of Chesire, CT, Melody and Howard Stanley of Simpsonville, SC, Lisa and John DeLizio of Woodbridge, CT, Alane Falese of Milford, CT, and Jimmy Martin and his wife Wanda of Gary Court, SC; three great grandchildren, Brenton, Brianna, and Mathew; her loving sister, Lucille (Steele) Villano of Stafford, CT; a special friend, John Nadratowicz; and many nieces and nephews. Luana was predeceased by two brothers, Sherwood and Cleveland Steele; two sisters, Shirley Demers and Elenora Shaffer; and a great grandson, Jonathan DeLizio. A calling hour will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. with a memorial service to take place at 12:00 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT.
