Lucy Hatch's Obituary
Lucy C. Hatch, 86, of Stafford Springs, CT, beloved wife for 63 years of the late Roger A. Hatch, peacefully passed away on Monday, January 16, 2012 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. She was born in Morrisville, VT, on January 15, 1926, daughter of the late Hugh and Marianna (Johnson) Campbell. She graduated from Peoples Academy in Morrisville and Becker Junior College in Worcester, MA. She married Roger on April 20, 1946 and lived on the Hatch family farm. While raising her family, she worked as a bookkeeper locally, and later ran a dried flower business with her husband. She was a member of Stafford Baptist Church, serving as treasurer for many years. She was a member of the Stafford Historical Society, Johnson Memorial Hospital Ladies Auxiliary, and volunteered at the hospital. She loved outdoor activities, especially gardening, and her pets. She was a fan of UConn Huskies basketball and enjoyed traveling with her husband. Lucy is survived by two sons, Alan Hatch of Stafford Springs, CT and Brian Hatch and his wife Nancy of Vernon, CT; a daughter, Ruthanne Talamini and her husband Michael of Stafford Springs, CT; and four grandchildren, Rollie, James, Angeline, and Eric. She is also survived by a brother-in-law, Harold Hatch; and a sister-in-law, Marcia Hatch. She was predeceased by her brother, James Campbell; and a sister, Lois Campbell. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 11 A.M. at the Stafford Baptist Church, Leonard Rd., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial in Hillside Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT, will be held privately. Calling hours are on Friday, January 20, 2012, from 5-8 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT.
