Lydia A. DePellegrini's Obituary
Lydia A. (Zimmerman) DePellegrini, 89, of Stafford Springs, CT passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025 with her family by her side after a brief battle with cancer. She was born in Stafford Springs, daughter of the late Joseph and Beatrice (Fisher) Zimmerman. Lydia enjoyed many sports growing up especially basketball. She also enjoyed bowling on her “Housewives League” for many years. Her grandkids and great grandkids were her world and spent many years taking care of them. Lydia is survived by her 4 children, Albert DePellegrini III and his wife Heidi, Todd DePellegrini and his wife Melinda, Lisa DePellegrini, and Laurie Saunders and her husband Richard; 8 grandchildren Stacie, Susan, Amanda, Albert (IV), Jessica, Casey, Taylor & Anthony; 15 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Willa Valerie, Betsy Caron, and Mary Jane Tobey; sister-in-law, Dolores DePellegrini; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert J. DePellegrini, Jr. in 2000, brother Joseph Zimmerman III and Joanne Zimmerman. Funeral services and burial at St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT will be private. Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
