Mabel Rowe's Obituary
Mabel E. Rowe, 74, of Gold St., Stafford Springs, CT, beloved wife of the late John E. Rowe, Sr., died Monday, November 6, 2006 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Unionville, CT, daughter of the late John F. and Lillian (Hurlburt) Kilduff. Mabel retired from the Journal Inquirer as a newspaper carrier after over 20 years of service. She was a member of the former Stafford Springs Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She also loved animals and was an avid bingo player. Mabel is survived by her four children, Sharon Marushan and her husband John of Union, CT, John E. Rowe, Jr. and his wife Linda of Stafford Springs, CT, Edna Rowe of Wisconsin, and Gloria DeVito of Florida; six grandchildren, Tina, Lisa, Lori, John E. III, Christopher, and Candi; six great grandchildren; a brother, John F. Kilduff, Jr. and his wife Josephine of Florida; a sister, Patricia Benson and her husband John of Massachusetts; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother, Earl Kilduff, and four sisters, Dorothy Cyr, Murial Plouff, Lillian Prout, and Edna Dube. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2006 at 10 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in Stafford Springs Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
