Marcia Martin's Obituary
Marcia Martin, a longtime resident of East Hartford, passed away peacefully at her home she shared with her husband of many years Eugene “Gene” Holding, on Sunday, August 14, 2022. Marcia was surrounded by her loved ones when she received her wings and went to walk with the Angels.
Marcia was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She spent most of her career working as a District Manager for the Hartford Courant; where she took an early retirement. Shortly after, she missed the job she loved doing and went back to work for the Journal Inquirer for many years.
Marcia spent most of her free time at Moose Meadow Camping Resort and Wilderness Lake Campground Resort, where she enjoyed spending lots of time with friends, playing cards and sitting by the campfire with her beloved dog “Gigi” always by her side.
Marcia can be best remembered for her beautiful blue eyes, kind spirit, outgoing personality and her sense of humor.
She will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.
A service will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022 from 10:00AM to 11:30AM with a memorial service beginning at 11:30AM at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main Street, Stafford Springs, CT.
