Margaret Delluomo's Obituary
Margaret Katherine (Ward) Delluomo, 86, of Quinn St., Stafford Springs, CT, beloved wife of the late Roland Edward Delluomo, passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2007 at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Stafford Springs, CT. She was born July 14, 1920 in Providence, RI, daughter of the late Michael J. and Mary Jane (Mahan) Ward. Margaret moved to Stafford Springs as a baby. She graduated from St. Joseph's College in 1942, then worked as a chemist in spectro-graphic materials control at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft until the end of World War II. She married Roland Edward Delluomo on October 7, 1946. She taught piano lessons while being an at home mom. In 1963 she returned to college to become certified in Education. Margaret taught at St. Edward School for 30 years. She started playing the organ at St. Edward Church at the age of 16 and continued on as organist and choir leader for 60 years. She was a member of St. Edward Parish and the St. Edward Ladies Guild. Margaret is survived by her five children, Mary Weingartner and her husband Bill of East Hartford, CT, Marge Maynard of Stafford Springs, CT, Eddie Delluomo and his wife Mary of Dunkirk, MD, Paula Gibbons of Stafford Springs, CT, and Lisa Deary and her husband Dickie of Stafford Springs, CT with whom she made her home for many years; eight grandchildren, Michael, Jennifer, Billy, Joshua, Megan, Colin, Heather, and Corrie Beth; five great grandchildren, Tyler, Jillian, Mallory, Owen, and Logan; a sister, Eileen Pratt of Stafford Springs, CT; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by a sister, Mary Wojnar; and a sister-in-law, Yolanda Gigliotti. A funeral will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2007, with a procession forming at 10 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. at St. Edward Church, High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Wednesday from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
