Margaret Hopkins' Obituary
Margaret "Margery" Hopkins, 98, formerly of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2012. She was born in Brooklyn, NY, on December 15, 1913 to the late Frank and Margaret (O'Brien) Hopkins. She was predeceased by sisters Florence and Gertrude Hopkins, and Mary Engelskirger; and brothers, Frank Hopkins, Dr. Charles Hopkins, and Dr. Arthur Hopkins. Margery was a loving and beloved aunt, great aunt, great-great aunt, and dear friend to many. She was a graduate of Manhattanville College, and taught in the Washington, D.C. and New York City public schools for 40 years. She was also a communicant of St. Edward Church, and most recently a resident of Christopher Heights Assisted Living and Lanessa Extended Care in Webster, MA, where she won many hearts and will be greatly missed. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2012, with a procession forming by 10 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. at St. Edward Church, High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Monday from 5-7 P.M. at the funeral home.
