Margery Cody's Obituary
Margery E. (Rusby) Cody, 88, of Parkess St., Stafford Springs, CT, passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at Evergreen Health Care Center, Stafford Springs, CT. She was born February 5, 1918 in Worcester, MA daughter of the late John and Alma (Pion) Rusby. Most of Margery's early life was spent in the Palmer/Wilbraham area of Massachusetts. After graduation she obtained employment with the American Optical Company of Southbridge, MA, where she worked a number of years before meeting her husband. They married and shortly after settled in Stafford Springs, CT, where they have lived for the past 48 years. Margery had a brilliant smile, loved nice things, and loved to decorate. This was a talent that was very helpful during her employment with DaDalt Paint & Wallpaper Company. Margery loved the work and the contact with the shoppers and the DaDalt family. I want to thank Edith, Silvio, and their family for all the friendship and happiness that came from our relationship with them. I would also like to thank all those that attended to Margery's needs at Johnson Memorial Hospital, and especially those that attended to her at Evergreen Health Care Center. Margery is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, George E. Cody of Stafford Springs, CT; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by a son, Robert G. Cody June 12, 2003. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2006 at 10 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in East Wilbraham Cemetery, Wilbraham, MA. Calling hours will be on Friday from 5-7 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, 565 Ashford Center Rd., P.O. Box 156, Ashford, CT 06278. For online condolences, please visit: www.introvignefuneralhome.com
