Marie Festi's Obituary
Marie P. Festi, 89, of West Stafford Rd., Stafford Springs, CT, beloved wife of the late Modesto 'Red' Festi, Jr., passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2006 at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Stafford Springs, CT. She was born in Monson, MA, daughter of the late Adam and Bertha (Ruszczyk) Pernoski. Marie was a member of St. Edward Parish. She was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, enjoyed reading, and loved dogs. Marie is survived by her two children, Robert W. Festi and his wife Margaret G. of Somers, CT, and Nancy F. Schwanda and her husband Brian G. of Stafford Springs, CT; two grandchildren, Ellen and Michael Festi; a special niece, Phyllis Ladeau; and several other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Chester, Peter, and Frank Pernoski. A funeral will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2006, with a procession forming at 9 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. at St. Edward Church, High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Stafford Public Library, P.O. Box 100, Stafford, CT 06075.
