Mario A. Posocco's Obituary
Mario A. Posocco, 89, of Agawam, MA and formerly of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2015. He was born in Stafford Springs, CT, son of the late Floriano and Antonietta (Castagnera) Posocco. Mario served in the United States Marines Corps ranked as Corporal during World War II. He had worked for many years at the Stafford Conservatories as the business manager / Treasurer. He was a Trustee at Stafford Savings Bank, past President and Paul Harris Fellow recipient of the Stafford Rotary Club, former board member of the Citizens’ Scholarship Foundation of Stafford, and honorary life member of the Italian Benefit Society. He also enjoyed golfing and was a former member of Elmcrest Country Club and Springfield Country Club. Mario is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Dana Shouse Posocco; two sons, Scott Posocco and his wife Norma Jean, and Bruce Posocco and his wife Barbara; grandchildren, Sara Sconyers and her husband Brian, Emily Dandurand and her husband Jeff, Amy Posocco, Jared Posocco and his wife Kristy, Matthew Posocco and his wife Michelle, Rachel Posocco and her fiancé Ken Jezek; great grandchildren, Georgia, Grayson, Clara, Ben, Charlie, Lucy, and Lachlan; step children, Eric Shouse, Kristy Ruhl and her husband Joe, Lisa Germano, and Kurt Shouse and his wife Karen and their dog Buddy; step grandchildren, Carl Shouse, Hans Shouse and his wife Ashley, Victoria Pedanou and her husband Bo, Lisa Movit and her husband Andrew, Kayla Ruhl, and Anthony, Michael, and Gregory Germano; step great grandchildren, Landon, Ryan, and Macaire; sister-in-law, Mary (Krol) Posocco; nephew, David Posocco; and niece, Sharon Posocco. He was predeceased by his first wife, Eunice (Ludwig) Posocco; and his brother, Alfonso Posocco. His funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2015, with a procession forming by 9 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. at St. Edward Church, 55 High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Tuesday from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
