Marjorie Harvey's Obituary
Marjorie V. (Kies) Harvey, 76, wife of the late Norman Harvey, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Wing Memorial Hospital, Palmer, MA. She was born in Stafford Springs, CT, daughter of the late Walter R. Weirs, Sr. and Violet E. (Fleming) Weirs. Marjorie was a former member of VFW Post No. 9990 Ladies Auxiliary of Stafford, CT and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Palmer, MA, as well as member of the Community United Methodist Church at Crystal Lake. She had a great love of animals, and crossword and jigsaw puzzles. Marjorie is survived by a daughter, Arlene Prouty and her husband Mark; two sons, Lawrence Kies, and David Kies and his wife Sompong; four grandchildren, Justin, Amy, Jasmine, and David; a brother, Arthur Weirs; a very loving friend, Anne Gonthier; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A calling hour will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2011 from 11 A.M. – 12 Noon with a funeral service to take place at 12 Noon at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in Stafford Springs Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Memorial Donations may be made to Community United Methodist Church at Crystal Lake, 278 Sandy Beach Rd., Ellington, CT 06029.
