Mark D. Hand's Obituary
Mark Dana Hand Sr., 67, of Tolland, CT, passed away on March 26, 2023. Mark was born in Houlton, ME, son of the late Dana and Mary (Moore) Hand on March 13, 1956. Mark spent his life working in the manufacturing industry working as a quality control inspector for P.S. Machine. He enjoyed playing billiards and more than anything fishing in Maine on East Grand Lake.
He is survived by his former wife, Judy (Hlobik) Hand; and their only son, Mark D. Hand Jr.; his partner, Kelley Alanis and her three children. He is also survived by four sisters, Shari Hand Sammons and Dennis Dean Sammons, Ellen and Tom Backhaus, Marilyn and Bill Titone, and Lisa DeJesse. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and has many cousins; four great nephews; and one great niece. He suffered from Polio from a young age, but never let it slow him down. From coaching his son's little league team, or helping someone fix their car, he was always there. He did not want a funeral, so in his memory, please donate to Shriners Hospitals for Children, PO Box 947765, Atlanta, GA 30394, as he spent a good deal of his youth with them. Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., Stafford Springs, CT has care of the arrangements. To leave a message of sympathy for his family, please visit: www.introvignefuneralhome.com
