Marty Galotto's Obituary
Martin E. 'Marty' Galotto, 57, of Abby Rd., Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2007, at Hartford Hospital, Hartford, CT. He was born in Stafford Springs, CT, son of Emery A. and Mary (Hanley) Galotto. Marty was a graduate of Stafford High School and Southern Connecticut State College. He currently worked as Finance Manager at Long View RV in Windsor Locks along with his son David. Marty was also the former owner of the Station News Room in Stafford Springs. He was a member of St. Edward Parish and the Italian Benefit Society. Marty took great pride in having authored the novel 'The Last Generation'. He enjoyed being with his sons, and playing golf and cards. Marty is survived by his former wife, Cindy (Bradway) Galotto; his two sons, David R. Galotto and Michael E. Galotto; his parents, Emery A. and Mary (Hanley) Galotto; a brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Debra Galotto; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Elaine and George Melnick, all of Stafford Springs, CT, and Marie and Frank Carcia of Enfield, CT; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. A funeral will be held on Monday, January 8, 2007, with a procession forming at 9 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. at St. Edward Church, High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Sunday from 4-7 P.M. at the funeral home.
