Mary Gerber's Obituary
Mary E. Gerber, 84, of Silo Circle, Storrs, CT, beloved wife of the late Ralph E. Gerber, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2008 at Haven Health Center, Rocky Hill, CT. She was born in Hartford, Michigan, daughter of the late Floyd and Zora (Luce) Lammon. She moved to Vernon, CT in 1946, then to Sarasota in 1971, and returned to Connecticut in 2005. Mary was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II where she was an IBM Operator. She was also a seamstress for many years. Mary is survived by her five children, Diana LaFrance and her husband Donald of Bonaire, GA, Barbara Haloburdo and her husband Arthur of Coventry, CT, David Gerber and his wife Debbie of Willington, CT, Bryan Gerber and his companion Loretta, and Barry Gerber, all of Sarasota, FL; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a sister, Alice Ansteth of Hartford, MI; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service and burial will be held at a later date at Ellington Center Cemetery, Ellington, CT.
