Mary Hodgson's Obituary
Mary (Bento) Hodgson, 91, of Stafford Springs, CT, wife of the late Edward Hodgson, died on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at Danbury Hospital. She was born in Tiverton, RI on February 8, 1918, daughter of the late Manuel and Mary Bento. Mary worked at Pratt and Whitney in East Hartford for 25 years. She loved the Red Sox and the UConn Women's basketball games. Mary was a member of the Stafford Senior Center, and for many years, was their travel coordinator. She will be fondly remembered by her many friends. Mary will be sadly missed by her daughter, Jan Downey and her companion, Dave Gliserman, of Oxford; her two grandsons, Kevin Doyle of Cambridge, MA, and Ryan Doyle of West Hartford; her three brothers, Leo Bento of Rocky Hill, John Bento of North Port, FL , Joe Bento of Fall River, MA; and her sister, Rose Wilkinson of Somerset, MA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. A calling hour will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2009 from 1-2 P.M. followed by a funeral service at 2 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT.
