Mary Ouellette's Obituary
Mary I. Ouellette, 88, of Stafford Springs, CT, beloved wife of the late Leon Ouellette, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2009 at Evergreen Health Care Center, Stafford Springs, CT. She was born in Boston, MA, daughter of the late Joel and Margaret (Cross) Atwood. Mary was a U.S. Marines Corps veteran of World War II, and retired as a secretary from Brookline Hospital. She was also a member of Sacred Heart Church in Quincy, MA. Mary is survived by her son, Leon C. Ouellette and his wife Karen of Stafford Springs, CT; two granddaughters, Emily and Christina Ouellette; and several cousins. She was predeceased by a brother, Rev. Joel C. Atwood; and a sister, Margaret L. Atwood. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at 1 P.M. at the Vernon Assembly of God Church, 51 Old Town Rd., Vernon, CT. Burial will be held privately in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose, MA. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Connecticut Chapter, 279 New Britain Rd., Kensington, CT 06037.
