Mary S. Paakkonen, 94, of Stafford Springs, CT, wife of the late Viljo E. Paakkonen, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Vernon Manor, Vernon, CT. She was born in Holyoke, MA on October 26, 1925, daughter of the late Eno Read Obituary
Mary will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her... she was my aunt and godmother and one of my all time favorite people to hear from... she always had a funny story to tell about her latest misadventure that kept us all entertained. She is most likely the source of my sense of humor, gift of gab (especially with total strangers) and my love of a good story. I hope and pray she is up there with the angels right now making them smile!

Mary, my dear, dear friend. She was such a sweet and loyal person. We shared so much fun along the way and some terrible sadness. We were always there for one another. My sincere condolences to you, Bob, Brenda and family, for Mary was truly one of a kind who will be missed.
