Maurice L. "Red" Fitzgerald's Obituary
Maurice L. “Red” Fitzgerald, 89, of Somers, CT, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2017. He was born in Stafford Springs, CT, son of the late James and Malvina (Riley) Fitzgerald. Red served in the United States Navy during World War II, and retired from Windsor Manufacturing as vice president of sales. He enjoyed golfing, water skiing, going on cruises, entertaining friends and family, and his four o’clock Manhattan’s. Red is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Elizabeth “Betty” (Tarcho) Fitzgerald; two daughters, Kathleen Kadow and her husband John of Wallingford, CT, and Donna Chase and her husband Robert of Mont Vernon, NH; four grandchildren, Michael and Elizabeth Kadow, and Michelle and Robert Chase; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, James, Howard, and Francis Fitzgerald; and his sister, Dorothy Prucker. His funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 10 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in Somers Center Cemetery, Somers, CT. Calling hours are on Wednesday from 5-7 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
