Martha, Jim and Stephen...there are no words that can help ease the sorrow you are feeling about Melissa passing. I would like to say that she was exceptionally courageous and such an amazing soul. I went to high school with Melissa and she was such a sweet soul. Always had a smile on her face and was truly genuine, humble and kind. Rest in peace Melissa.
I had the pleasure of working with Melissa for a number of years at CHR. During that time I never heard her complain, even amongst regular and petty complaining by coworkers. Her ever present sunshine in the face of undue hardship was a humbling example for me that I still hold on to. She will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. I had the pleasure of visiting with Melissa a few times, once at my step-mother Nancy's house and once at a girls night out make your own deodorant party. I didn't know her well, but she was so easy to talk to & I felt an immediate attraction to her beautiful personality & grace. I'm so sorry that she has passed. In times when I feel weak I know I can think about Melissa's strength and be inspired to maintain positivity. To me, she is the epitome of a strong woman. May her family find comfort in all the memories of lives she has touched.

I have worked at CHR with Melissa since she started. She has touched the life of so many youth and families and helped them to live better lives. Melissa was such a fighter. She never complained about her illness and consistently focused on helping others. I am so happy to have known her and her spirit lives on at CHR.
