Melvin W. Sladek's Obituary
Melvin William Sladek, age 87, of Stafford Springs, CT and husband to Marilyn Sladek for 62 wonderful years, died peacefully at his home surrounded by family on Monday, October 6, 2025. Melvin was born in Stafford, CT, on July 2, 1938 and was predeceased by his parents, Marie and William Sladek. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Melvin is survived by his three children; his son Kevin Sladek and wife Tina, his son Keith Sladek, and his daughter Pamela Howe and husband John. He also leaves behind his grandchildren; Elizabeth Sladek, Ian Howe, Kailyn Howe, Zackary Sladek and Madison Sladek. Melvin served in the Army National Guard for six years. He had a career as a Tool and Dye maker for 39 years at ABA Tool and Die Company in Manchester. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, working on his cars and spending time outside. The family would like to thank Visiting Nurse and Health Services of Connecticut for all of their care and compassion. Services will be private for the family.
