We are very sorry to learn that Bill passed away. We'll miss him very much. We've had a long relationship with Bill - going back to the late 60s when Brian was in the construction business and Bill was the road commissioner for Ashford Lake. Brian also got to know him better when working for Rossi logging and logged off acreage that Bill oversaw for the Ashford Lake Assoc. Back in 2000, we were at the Legion in Stafford and Patricia overheard Bill talking about selling his home in Maine and she was intrigued by his description of the land. Being a city girl for her whole life, she longed for open spaces. She mentioned it to me and I said DO you realize just how far up that is?? She said So what - let's just take a ride. We did and fell in love with it. Didn't even get out of the driveway and we said to each other - Guess we're gonna buy it, huh. Bill was happy about that and had visited us many times. Once was a total surprise when he pulled into the dooryard and said - I just felt like driving up. We were very happy to see him! That was just a few years ago. We just want his family to know that they are all welcome to come up to "Marden's Camp" any time at all. The sign over the door still says Marden's Camp and it always will. We will miss him.
