Michael T. Fiore's Obituary
Michael T. Fiore passed away peacefully in his home on April 25, 2023 at the age of 76 with his wife and son at his side. He was born in Stafford, CT, son of the late Kenneth and Eleanor (Driscoll) Fiore. Michael graduated from Monson Academy, received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Central Connecticut State University, his sixth year in Vocational and Adult Education, and his certificate in Administration and Supervision from UCONN. He taught Tech. Ed. At JFK in Enfield for 14 years, and then started Fiore’s Woodworking, and then Staffwood, Inc. Michael enjoyed traveling around the United States, Caribbean, and visiting friends in Germany and Italy. He loved sailing, having sailed his boats out of the Mystic River for 50 years. He was an avid fly fisherman, and a lifetime member of the Stafford Fish and Game Club. Michael leaves behind his wife of 51 years, Diane (Phelps) Fiore; son, Brett Fiore; brother, Thomas Fiore; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Valerie and Richard Gagnon; nephews, Ross and Travis Gagnon; and niece, Lauren Gagnon. He was predeceased by his sister-in-law, Kathleen Phelps. A calling hour will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023 from 10-11 A.M., with a prayer service to take place at 11 A.M., at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT.
