Michael E. Foss' Obituary
Michael E. Foss passed away in the presence of his loving family on May 16, 2018 at the age of 70, after a battle with cancer. A long-term resident of Mansfield, MA, he was a graduate of Attleboro High School and Northeastern University. He is the husband of the late, Carol (DePalma) Foss, who passed away only 15 months ago, and son of the late Albanus D. Foss, Jr and Marie (Ryng) Foss. Michael was a brilliant engineer, who was always devoted to his family. He worked at various engineering companies and was integral in many classified defense projects, ensuring our safety as a nation. Michael enjoyed home projects and traveling, especially cruises with his late wife, Carol, as well as Boston sports and spending time with his grandchildren. Michael is known to never say “no” to anything that was asked of him. He was always willing to help someone out, no matter what it entailed. Michael leaves behind three children and their spouses, Julie Medeiros of North Attleboro, MA, Lisa Gordon and her husband Tony of Tolland, CT, and Michael A. Foss and his wife Emily of Plainville, MA, as well as five grandchildren, Roy Medeiros, Brady and Ben Gordon, and Persephone and Ilithyia Foss, who will miss him dearly. He is survived by his brother, Allan Foss and wife Janice, and brother, Gary Foss and his partner Melanie. Michael also leaves two sisters-in-law, Marianne Costa and Michelle Anton, brothers-in-law, Frank Costa and Robert Anton, and his niece and nephews, Melanie (Anton) Norton, Tim Norton, and Matt Anton. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123, in honor of Michael and Carol Foss.
