Michael Gregorio's Obituary
Michael J. Gregorio, 75, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Friday, April 8, 2011 while vacationing in Florida with his loving wife of 53 years, the love of his life. He was born in Corona, Long Island, NY, son of the late John and Isabel (Jacamino) Gregorio. Mike served his country proudly in the United States Air Force, and worked over 30 years as plant manager for Zero Corporation in Monson, MA and Clearwater, FL, and at UOP in Bantam, CT. He retired briefly and returned to the work force as a salesman for Minuteman Press until his retirement last year. Mike was a member of the Stafford Lions Club where he was a past president and recipient of the Melvin Jones Award. He enjoyed his time with the Lions Club serving his community. He especially enjoyed the preparation and delivery of the food and gift baskets at Thanksgiving and Christmas. He was also a member of the Strazza, Tonoli-Emhoff Post No. 26 American Legion, and lifelong fan of the New York Yankees, NY Giants and UCONN Huskies. Mike loved traveling with his wife, visiting friends and most especially spending time with his grandchildren. Mike is survived by his loving wife, Betty (Utermarck) Gregorio of Stafford Springs, CT, three daughters, Patti Pallanck and her husband Barry of Stafford Springs, CT, Lori LeBel of Willington, CT, and Lisa Courtney and her husband Stephen of Belmont, MA; nine grandchildren, Alyson, Gregory, Adam, and Kyle Pallanck, PFC Ryan and Travis LeBel, and Michael, Andrew, and Lindsay Duval; two step grandsons, Tyler and Dylan Courtney; a brother, Anthony Gregorio and his wife Sherry of Staffordville, CT; sisters-in-law, Carol Mottes and her husband Dick, Jean Palacko and her husband Richard, and Zenna (Utermarck) Brisson; brother in law, Tony Tarantino; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Anna Tarantino and Josephine White; and his brother-in-law, Billy Utermarck. His funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at 10 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Wednesday from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
