Michael McKinney's Obituary
Michael W. McKinney, 63, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Stafford Springs, CT. He was born in Middletown, CT, son of Elwood McKinney and the late Gertrude (Jones) McKinney. Mike worked as a fork lift driver at Pratt and Whitney Aircraft. He enjoyed his hobby of collecting antique cars, and was an avid fan of UConn basketball, the Red Sox, and NASCAR. Mike is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Gail (Harrington) McKinney; four children, Carol Betterley and her husband Richard, Kimberly McKinney, Andrew McKinney, and Tracy McKinney; two grandchildren, Stacey and Evan Betterley; his father, Elwood McKinney; three siblings, Elwood McKinney, Jr. and his wife Elsie, Shirley Tinney and her husband Lee, and Kathy Shanks and her husband Timothy; and several nieces and nephews. A calling hour will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2012 from 1-2 P.M. with a funeral service to take place at 2 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT.
