Michael J. Raymond Jr.'s Obituary
Michael Joseph Raymond, Jr., 80, of Stafford Springs, CT, devoted husband and soul mate for 44 years to the late Marilyn J. (Fortier) Raymond, died with his loved ones by his side on February 18, 2017. Michael was born in Hartford, CT, on December 22, 1936, son of the late Michael Joseph, Sr. and Teresa Ann (Montano) Raymond. Michael was the owner of Suburban Beauty Salon in Rockville, CT for 40 years. He, for many years, bowled professionally and was a gifted carpenter and creator of anything made out of wood. Michael is survived by his beloved children, four daughters, Teresa Ann Raymond of Stafford Springs, CT, Angela Marie Raymond of Fayetteville, NC, Mary-Lynne Raymond of Vernon, CT, and Julie Ann Marsh and husband Greg Marsh of Ashford, CT. He also leaves his devoted brother, J. David Raymond of East Hartford, CT, sisters-in-law, Meredith Campanelli of Tolland, CT, and Charlene Benito of Manchester, CT, and five cherished grandchildren, Marilyn Shores, Morgan West and her husband Jason, Lindsey Shores and John and Brian Marsh. He leaves many other family members and lifetime friends. The family will receive relatives and friends for a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Edward Church, 55 High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to a local homeless shelter of your choice, something that was dear to Mike and Marilyn’s heart.
