Murray W. Lancaster's Obituary
Murray W. Lancaster, 84, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on July 22, 2023 after a brief illness. He was born in Bangor, ME, son of the late Harvey J. and Hazel G. (Rowell) Lancaster. Murray was married to Ellen (Robinson) Lancaster for over 27 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and did craftsman woodworking in his late years, finishing their home with beautiful furniture. Besides his loving wife Ellen, Murray leaves behind his children, Carina Butler and her husband Derek of South Windsor, CT, Deborah Grenier of Manchester, CT, and Wayne Lancaster of East Hartford, CT; his extended family, Daniel R. Ouellette of Ellington, CT, Tina Marie Reed of Stafford Springs, CT, and Pamela J. Proulx and her husband Rob of Stafford Springs, CT.; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; his sister and brother-in-law, Faylene and William Bosworth of Florida; and niece, Karen Penney of Florida. Murray’s family would like to thank the hospice care team of nurses, and also the wonderful help and care given to Murray by his two stepdaughters, Tina and Pam. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2023 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Funeral services and burial in West Stafford Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT, will be held privately.
