Myra Tinti's Obituary
Myra (Fontanella) Tinti, 93, a lifelong resident of Stafford Springs, CT, beloved wife for 65 years of the late Francesco 'Frank' Tinti, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2008 at Litchfield Woods Health Care Center, Torrington, CT. She was born in Willington, CT, daughter of the late Cirillo and Amalia (Cini) Fontanella. Myra was an honorary life member of the Italian Benefit Society Ladies Auxiliary and volunteered at the Stafford Thrift Shop. Myra is survived by her four daughters and their husbands, Nancy and Craig Ireland of Virginia, Roberta and James McGrath of Illinois, Sylvia and Manuel Meneses of Wethersfield, CT, and Frances and Robert Herman of New Hartford, CT; seven grandchildren, Gina Gallivan, Laura DeMonte, Daniel Herman, Cathleen Matsas, Jeanne Ireland, Jennie Kutzler, and Kenneth McGrath; five great grandchildren, Emily, Andrew, Holly, Mia, and Karenna; her special friend, Sheila Bresnahan; and several nieces and nephews. Myra's love of singing, dancing, baking, and needle work brought much joy to those around her. Her selfless devotion to her family, her appreciation for the simple things in life, and her sense of humor, will be remember by all who loved her. Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at 11 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. A calling hour will be held on Wednesday morning from 10-11 A.M. at the funeral home prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Michael's Fund, 966 Walnut St., Fall River, MA 02720, which supports those in need of stem cell transplants.
