Nelson E. Foss Sr.'s Obituary
Nelson Eugene Foss, Sr., 71, of Vernon, CT passed away early Thursday morning February 9, 2017 with his daughter Tammy and niece Rose by his side. He was the loving father of Tammy Lynne Foss of Ellington, CT and Nelson E. Foss, Jr. and his wife Donna of Vernon, CT. He was also the loving grandfather of Amber Dawn Foss of San Diego, CA. Nelson served our country in the United States Army and had many careers over the span of his lifetime. Food service, catering, bail bondsman, and restaurant owner, to name just a few. For those of you who knew him he always had a joke or two and could always put a smile on your face with his antics. He also leaves behind his ex-wife Nancy Robinson and her husband Gary, who was dad’s best friend, even though he didn't like him, so dad always said. Gary was a true blessing to our dad and to Gibbs, dad’s furry companion, as well as many nieces and nephews. Nelson was predeceased by his daughter Dawn Marie, whom he loved with all his heart. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in East Cemetery, Manchester, CT. Much love and thanks to all who had cared for our dad throughout this battle he fought.
